KyberAccess keeps a persistent profile for every person who visits, so parents, staff, contractors, and other frequent visitors don't have to re-register each time.
How it works
- Each person has a persistent record with their details, photo, visit history, and any documents on file.
- On a return visit, the system recognizes them and offers express check-in, skipping steps they've already completed.
- The recognition window is configurable (default 90 days) so you decide how long a profile stays "trusted."
- Students and staff are first-class records, used across check-in, notifications, and the student pickup workflow.
Why it matters
For a school, this means a parent who visits weekly checks in with a single scan instead of re-entering their information every time. For an office, regular contractors and vendors move through the lobby quickly while still being logged for compliance.
Configure returning-visitor recognition
- Go to Settings > Kiosk > Features > Returning Visitor.
- Set the recognition window (how many days a returning profile is remembered).
- Choose what to skip for known visitors — for example the selfie or an ID re-scan.
- Optionally require a quick confirmation (name or phone) before fast-tracking.
Tips
- A shorter window increases security; a longer window increases convenience. Pick based on your site's risk profile.
- Returning-visitor data still flows into your reports and audit trail, so you never lose visibility.
